Our guest in this episode is Derek Sivers, a writer, programmer, entrepreneur and former owner of CD Baby, an online store for independent musicians.

We’ve been waiting to do this interview for a long time, and when Derek re-emerged with the plan to publish three books after a few reclusive years, we wanted to catch up and find our what he had been up to.

This interview is in 2 parts. In Part 1 we talk about building a life around values such as learning, growth or minimalism, and exploring freedom to its extremes.

In Part 2 we talk about about daily practices for increasing self-knowledge, and many different ways in which people can thrive and find fulfillment.
